The Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia held its 57th Assembly on Saturday, 22 June 2024, in Belgrade. Alongside the home Brethren, the gathering welcomed a number of guests — representatives of recognized Grand Lodges from abroad.
The day before, on Friday, 21 June 2024, the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia also hosted a symposium under the title “Freemasonry in the 21st Century: Service, Sustainability, Dignity. All about people.” Open to the public, its three panels explored the place and values of Freemasonry in contemporary society, its sustainability in the age of artificial intelligence, and the challenges the 21st century sets before it. Besides Brethren from our own ranks, the discussion drew speakers from the academic community and from kindred domestic and international organizations.
The ceremonial part of the Assembly featured:
- the presentation of awards and recognitions;
- a lecture delivered by the official Prestonian Lecturer of the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) for 2024;
- an address by the Most Worshipful Grand Master, together with a presentation of the work of the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia;
- addresses from representatives of the visiting foreign delegations.
Once more, the meeting affirmed the strength of the fraternal bonds linking the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia with the recognized Grand Lodges of the world, and the lasting commitment to the principles on which Freemasonry stands.
