Recognition between two Grand Lodges is the formal act by which they establish mutual relations and acknowledge one another, whereby their members acquire the right to visit the works of both Grand Lodges. International recognition is the highest form of confirmation of a Grand Lodge’s legitimacy within the worldwide fraternity of Freemasonry.
The Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia enjoys the recognition of more than 145 Grand Lodges from all continents. Foremost among them is the recognition by the “mother of all Grand Lodges” — the United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE), which is the cornerstone of regular Freemasonry throughout the world.
The continuity and heritage of the Grand Lodge of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes “Yugoslavia”, founded in 1919, have also been confirmed by the recognition of the World Conference of Regular Masonic Grand Lodges. These recognitions secure for the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia the status of the sole sovereign, regular and internationally recognized Masonic obedience in Serbia.
You may verify these recognitions yourself on the lists of friendly and recognized Grand Lodges published on the official websites of our sister obediences (the United Grand Lodge of England, the United Grand Lodges of Germany and others), through the links provided below.
