Declaration on the Cooperation of Quatuor Coronati Lodges

2. 3. 2015.

On 8 November 2014, in the Orient of Novi Sad, the Conference of European “Quatuor Coronati” Lodges was held, at which the DECLARATION ON THE COOPERATION OF QUATUOR CORONATI LODGES was also announced, the content of which we now publish in full:

Valuing and respecting the independence of all recognized Obediences, and all the results and research activities achieved so far, all Quatuor Coronati Lodges commit themselves:
– to launch, most intensively, an effort to research the past of Freemasonry, all with the aim of preserving the past in the interest of the present and the future;
– to intensify research into the history of Freemasonry of all European Obediences, and especially of the hitherto less researched Eastern European regions;
– for the purpose of researching Freemasonry, that all QC Lodges engage to the maximum within their Obediences (archives, museums, other documentation);
– to do everything to enable interested foreign Brethren to access archives, museums and other documentation for research;
– to do everything, through joint efforts in third places, to obtain relevant documents;
– to carry out a mutual exchange of documents and provide other assistance in order to secure documents;
– to hold regular working meetings (annually), and, when necessary, more often;
– to hold ceremonial gatherings at which the results achieved would be noted and yearbooks exchanged;
– to help jointly in bringing light into research Lodges in Obediences where there are none as yet, as well as in the work of those Lodges;
– to accept that other QC Lodges, which were not present at the Conference of European QC Lodges, may subsequently join the Novi Sad Declaration, signed on 8 November 2014.
