At the invitation of Bro. Glenn Means, Executive Secretary of the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America, the Grand Master of the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia, Bro. Ranko Vujačić, attended this annual conference, held from 13 to 18 February 2015 in Vancouver, Canada.
This excellently organized conference was attended by over 700 Brethren from all over the world, who were greeted at the very outset by the Mayor of Vancouver, wishing the Freemasons from around the world a pleasant stay in their city.
A particular curiosity of this conference was the attempt by the so-called “United Grand Lodges of Serbia” to secure international recognition by sending a request to the Conference, which had extended them an invitation to attend. However, on this occasion too, it was confirmed that the only recognized Masonic authority on the territory of the Republic of Serbia is the Regular Grand Lodge of Serbia, led by Grand Master Bro. Ranko Vujačić.
In addition to numerous meetings with Grand Masters from around the world and other members of delegations, the Grand Master of the RGLS delivered, within one of the numerous sessions entitled “Masonic Service Association”, a short address on how the funds sent by the Conference to the RGLS as aid for the flood victims in the Republic of Serbia had been spent.
After the Conference in Vancouver, the Grand Master of the RGLS, Bro. Ranko Vujačić, visited the Grand Lodge of California, in his capacity as a member of the Board of the World Masonic Conference, at their central Temple in San Francisco. On that occasion, the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of California, Bro. Russell Charvonia, invited the Grand Master of the RGLS to deliver, in November of this year at the World Conference of Grand Lodges, the keynote lecture on the theme “A World-Wide Connection – The Role of the World Conference”.
It was also agreed that the Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of California would attend the European Conference of Grand Masters, to be held on 6 June 2015 in Belgrade, organized by the RGLS.
